The theme this year is more trees … more plants … more life! As well as a wide range of rare and exotic flora, the show will feature fruit trees, flowering plants, herbs, orchids, landscaping, outdoor furniture, dried fish from Cadiz, dairy products from La Carlota, acrylic oil paintings and exotic plants from Mindanao.
There will also be daily highlights including lectures from top gardening experts, cooking demonstrations, flower arranging and small area landscaping.
Admission to the show is P10, while children under 12 can enter the show for free. It will open every day at 8:00am and close at 8:30pm.
The show will kick off on Friday morning, October 14 with a motorcade through the city followed by the grand opening. On the final day of the show, there will be a raffle draw for cash prizes. Raffle tickets are P20 each.
The Negros Occidental Garden Club was founded in 1968 to promote, encourage, foster and cultivate interest in garden floriculture and community beautification. All proceeds from the show will help the club continue its community work including support for charitable institutions such as Gawad Kalinga and the Philippine Mental Health Association.
