In the recently concluded 11th Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines National Convention at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales . The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental bagged three National Awards; the Best Provincial Tourism Week Celebration in the Philippines, 2nd Place in the Best Tourism Event-Festival Category for Panaad sa Negros, and 2nd Place in the Best Sports Tourism Event for the First Melba’s Farm Mountain Bike Open.
Negros Occidental Chair-Commitee on Tourism Board Members Nehemias Dela Cruz and Committee on Tourism Member , Board Member Salvador Escalante received the awards together with Provincial Tourism Officer Jennylind Demerre Cordero.
Bago City also bagged the Best Cultural Event in the City Category for Sigabong sang mga Canyon and Dinagsa Festival of Cadiz City was awarded 2nd Place in the Best Tourism Event-Festival Category.
Congratulations to the administration and the men and women behind the Negros Occidental tourism who worked hard in promoting Negros Occidental.
