The a 7.2-meter ‘Welcome Marker’, will greet both incoming and outgoing visitors of Bacolod City. The design features the colorful masks symbolic of Bacolod’s very own world-renowned MassKara Festival which will be lighted at night.
The Welcome Park is seen to be a major tourist stop. In addition to the Welcome Marker, visitors will have access to souvenir shops, retail stores, cafes, and restaurants within the 7.5-hectare Northill Town Center which will be constructed starting 2019.
The Northill Town Center will be the first commercial district along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road with an expansive mall, leisure, entertainment and lifestyle shops. There will be a parking area to accommodate 30 vehicles for visitors who want to stop by and enjoy the amenities at the Welcome Park. Another unique feature of the park is a replica of the Bacolod Government Center which will house a McDonalds restaurant.
You’ve never been to Bacolod if you haven’t been to the Welcome Marker. Next time you visit Bacolod City, coming from the airport, the Welcome Marker should be your first stop. Take a selfie and show your friends you’ve visited the City of Smiles.
