Bacolod is synonymous with good food. It’s no wonder then that Grab has finally made its food delivery service, GrabFood, available in Bacolod City. From a company that has made land transportation a lot easier, I expect the same hassle-free experience with GrabFood.
Your Favorite Food Right at Your Doorstep
There’s a lot of choices when it comes to restaurants in Bacolod City. The only problem is when you don’t feel like going out or the when it’s raining. With GrabFood this is no longer a problem since you don’t need to leave your house or office to go to your favorite restaurant, you just order through the GrabFood app and your favorite food will be delivered right at your doorstep.
Quino’s Café is a homegrown restaurant serving coffee, cakes, pastries, and also meals. They have products which you could not find in other restaurants in Bacolod like their signature cream puff, Puffyani. Their milkteas are also really good. However, they’re a little far from the office so as much as we want to dine at Quino’s for lunch, it’s not possible during weekdays, or else we will be late in the afternoon. With GrabFood, no need to worry because we can already have food from Quino’s delivered to the office with just a few taps away.

GrabFood Bacolod Delivery Service Review
User Experience
Grab users and those who use the app for the first time will find ordering in GrabFood very intuitive. The app is very straightforward that even first timers will not have any problem in navigating it.
Restaurant Selection
As of now, those in Bacolod downtown area have more restaurant choices. Most of the restaurants we frequent are already in the list. However, at home in the Bacolod East area, there are still only a few choices. I hope more restaurants will be added soon.
Order and Delivery Tracking
It only took a few seconds from tapping Place Order button until GrabFood booked a delivery guy. From booking to delivery, it took 35 minutes. You can also track the progress of the delivery through the app. The time really depends if there is a long line at the restaurant you ordered from and how long it takes for the food to be prepared. So far, 35 minutes is already fast considering the distance and traffic from the office to the Quino’s.
Customer Service
Jimmy Segun, the delivery guy was very polite and answers my message promptly. You can contact the delivery guy through the app or through their phone. And just like in the Grab transport service, you can rate the delivery guy.
Price
For our order, we were charged with P39 delivery fee which we really don’t mind paying for the convenience. However, the price of the food in GrabFood is around P10 – P20 higher compared in the store depending on the food item.
So, would I recommend GrabFood? Definitely. The additional fee is not much compared to the convenience and the time you save in using the app. Even for fast-food restaurants with delivery service, I will still prefer using GrabFood because it’s faster and more hassle-free to tap the screen than talk to a person in ordering food.
