The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Scholarship 2015-2016 Application Form is now available for download. Every year, DOST offers undergraduate scholarship opportunities to talented and deserving students who wish to pursue 4 or 5 year degree priority courses in science and technology fields. The RA 7687 Scholarships and the Merit Scholarships both aim to produce and develop high quality human resources needed for the Science and Technology (S&T) and Research and Development (R&D) initiatives in the country.
DOST Scholarship Categories
RA 7687 Science and Technology Scholarship is for applicant whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of all the identified indicators as approved by DOST-SEI Advisory Committee on S&T Scholarships. No fees are required for RA 7687 applicants.
The DOST-MERIT Scholarship is for applicant who belongs to a family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of any of the identified indicators. The applicants must pay a non-refundable test fee of P200.

Where to Get/Submit Application Form for DOST Scholarship 2015?
The application form for DOST Scholarship are usually mailed by DOST to the different schools and DepEd Division offices. The forms can also be obtained from the nearest DOST Provincial Office. The Negros Occidental Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) is at Cottage Road, Bacolod City. For those unfamiliar with the DOST Office, it’s beside the office of DOLE, fronting the Hall of Justice. You may also call (034) 7070170 for more inquiries.

Duly filled-out form including the required attachments should be submitted to the nearest DOST Provincial Office or mailed to the Science Education Institute.
Deadline of Filing of Application and Date of DOST Scholarship Examination

The date of examination is on September 21, 2014. There will be three test centers in Negros Occidental: TUP-Visayas for the Lone District of Bacolod, 3rd District and 4th District; Sagay City for the 1st District and 2nd District; and Kabankalan City for the 5th District and 6th District.
