Bacoleños will get a chance to witness a blow-by-blow account of the fight of the city’s adopted son, Manny Pacquiao Vs. Oscar De la Hoya. People in Barangays Sum-ag, Alijis, Handumanan, Tangub, Granada, Banago, Mansilingan, Montevista and Barangay 7 will get to see live telecast of the fight at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Pacquiao Vs. De la Hoya boxing match will also be seen at the BAYS Center, gymnasium of Colegio San Agustin, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Riverside College and the City Hall grounds.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia gave instructions for the free viewing before he left to be with the Pacquiao team in Las Vegas where he will again carry one of the Pacman’s championship belts. The mayor was personally invited by Pacquiao to be part of his team, believing that Leonardia brings him good luck.
