It’s final and official, the venue for the 2011 Philippine Blog Awards-Visayas will be at the Dr. Jose C. Locsin Cultural and Civic Center Building in Silay City on November 12, 2011. The Philippine Blog Awards is an annual event that gives recognition to outstanding blogs in the Philippines and is also held in Visayas and Mindanao. For this year’s Visayas leg, the PBA chose the Negros Bloggers to be the host.
The Negros Bloggers met with Silay City Mayor Oti Montelibano last October 3 and he was very grateful that the bloggers chose Silay City as the venue of the 2011 PBA-Visayas. Mayor Oti needs no convincing because he is very aware of the help of the bloggers in promoting Negros Occidental as a tourist destination especially Silay City.
Kudos Mayor Oti! The Negros Bloggers are looking forward to a successful collaboration with your office.

Good to know there’s a venue for the PBA already. I just have one concern though, here it is -> is the event during the night time? And if so, let’s consider transportation of guests from other areas and accommodation should the case be overnight. 🙂
