The MassKara Festival 2010 music was launched last September 4, 2010 at Robinsons Mall Bacolod. The music was chosen from among those who joined the MassKara music songwriting tilt. The winning composition was by25-year old Bryan Caballero who was awarded P20,000 in cash prize.
Say goodbye to folk music and say hello to a more modern, upbeat music. Caballero’s composition fused techno music with the classic samba rhythm, giving the MassKara music a modern appeal.
The official MassKara music is titled “Kari sa Bacolod: MassKara 2010.”

love the maskarra music. although it was my first time to witness and enjoy the fest, for me it is catchy, madaling kantahin (kahit na hindi ko naiintindihan masyado) and most of all sobrang ganda ng beat. nakakapag bigay ng excitement and nakapagpapaindak…

yeah right! no offense to the composer but we need something that is lively and the lyrics should tell a story or something not just repitition of chorus all the way to the end. I am not sure if everyone agrees with me here but I think something like this would be great. This is the 2010 Sinulog Theme Song. Just to be fair I am not from Cebu taga Bacolod ko ya ha. 🙂

Tani ng makabuhi man bala sang dugo nga music haw…daw pang patulog man ni bata nga kanta…The music should go along with the kind and quality of MAsskara FESTIVAL..pang world class! pero sa kanta nga ini daw wala impact kag indi maka excite…Tani ng magtindog ang balahibo mo maskin sa music pa lang…my views…Better choose the BEST of the BEST next time…Not just settle for LESS…no offense to the composer though…wala sya sala kung napili man iyah composition…ang sala ara sa mga nagpili…Are they have really the ears? HOY GISING!
