I’m sure anybody who sets foot in Bacolod and tried our food will be treated to a gastronomic experience they will never forget. Just like Aian Rosales who visited Bacolod in January 24-25 and has been yearning for Bacolod food ever since. So much so, that he has come up with his List of 9 Foods to Love in Bacolod. You’ll love his drawings and his sometimes funny comment that goes with it.
- Chicken House’s Inasal – he considers this as the best inasal in the country and you may want to order heaps of rice with it. I think that was Isul (chicken butt) he was referring to as God’s gift to man. Do you agree?
- Half-Moons by Pendy’s – Aian considers this “drool inducing” mamon bread coated with buttery cream as Custard Cake on Steroids.
- El Ideal’s Batchoy – he suggests that when you order this, you ask for additional two eggs.
- Virgie’s Caramel Tarts – he considers this “little piece of heaven” as the best pasalubong ever. He describes it as very moist inside with the crust is uncommonly good.
- Bob’s Satay Babi & Mongolian Mix – who wouldn’t love Bob’s Sate Babe?
- Kubo sa Lawn Pork Sisig –he described it as sweet, tangy, and hot.
- Kuppa’s – Aian basically loves everything at Kuppa’s but made special mention of Cristina Pizza which according to him is the delicious baby of Mr. Plum and Ms. Mozzarela.
- Homemade Breakfast Chorizo – his host’s cook make the best homemade breakfast chorizo. As I’ve said several times in this blog before, the best food in Bacolod are those served at home.
- Calea’s Cakes – he listed down the cakes he loves at Calea — classic chocolate cake, turtle pie, mud pie and strawberry. Well, that’s a lot and there are still a lot of flavors to choose from.
Aian works as a programmer at a financial institution but draws, do lettering and take pictures in his free time. You can see his works in his Facebook page Doodle Lab Creatives.
Remember, Aian was in Bacolod for only 2 days and he already came up with this list. You might have something up your sleeves too. Here’s my challenge to you. Make your own list of List of Top 10 Best Bacolod Food and tell us why you chose them through the comment section below.
