NBSI Christmas Party 2014: Bloggers Just Wanna Have Fun

With all the Christmas rush, the Negrense Blogging Society Inc. (NBSI) found time to hold a Christmas Party last December 14, 2014 and everyone just had so much fun!

Planning was all done online since we could not find time to meet. Other than blogging, we all share the same penchant for eating and singing so we decided for a videoke party. Although most of us are only good at the eating part. At first we could not decide where to have dinner because there’s just so many places in Bacolod to go to. Fortunately, majority agreed to have dinner at Balboa Restaurant and the videoke venue was decided to be at Gourmandz KTV just a block away for convenience.

I have been blessed this year through this blog so I  also shared it with the NBSI. Thanks to Sigrid of Team Lo for starting the solicitation among our friends who are company owners we’ve partnered in the past. We were so surprised and overwhelmed by their response.  Within a week, the following shared their blessings with us:

Those of us who’ve been at Balboa Restaurant before agreed to have the dinner there since they are very accessible, the food is good and the price is very affordable. Indeed, when I got the bill since I’m also the group’s treasurer, I was surprised at the amount. I’m a happy eater and fund keeper.

We really appreciate the generosity of our sponsors and the good thing is these are products and services that we also patronize. We had gift packs and gift certificates from our sponsors to be given as door prizes. Those who were lucky enough to be one of the top four scorers in the videoke gets a bottle of wine.

I was lucky to win a pasalubong pack from Bong-Bong’s, GC from SM City Bacolod, GC from Spa Natura, GC from Balboa Restaurant, a box of Napoleones from Merzci, and a really special Christmas decor from Vito Prints and Pieces.

You would think the prize is a car by the way we belted out and as if the videoke machine also gives a score to the dancing. As much as I want to protest the scoring of the videoke machine, I have to give in to maintain the group’s unity. If only they would share their bottles of wine so I could forget that I’m a failure in videoke.

As one of the founding members of the group, this is the first Christmas Party that we celebrated with a lot of new faces. Over the years, the bloggers have become an extension of my family, they are not only my friends but my kumares and my mentors as well. This 2014 we welcomed new members into our fold. We hope they would stay and love the organization as much as we do. We may not be a lot in numbers but we are one happy hardworking bunch. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
