Magic Island Theme Park, a P600-million development will soon rise in historic Silay City, Negros Occidental, this was revealed during the ground breaking ceremonies yesterday. The theme park will be located at Brgy. Guinhalaran in Silay City, just 12 kilometers away from Bacolod City.
Just 12 kilometers away from Bacolod City, a total of 3.75-hectare is allotted for the park rides that can accommodate 3,000 visitors per day. The theme park will initially feature 15 attractions which include the tallest Ferris wheel in the Visayas, roller coasters, carousels, kiddie and family rides, a haunted house and arcade games. Magic Island will also showcase the rich Negrense folklore, culture and art in its entertainment and educational facilities.
Aside from the theme park, Aton Land and Leisure Inc. plans to develop the 28-hectare estate into a mixed used facility. It will feature a resort living type of residential development, a commercial area to serve the needs of park visitors, and an upscale lifestyle hub.
Magic Island is expected to open in 2018.
